Guidelines
Solicitor's fees are set out under the Solicitors' Remuneration Order 2006. Investors are advised to approach the Malaysian Bar Council for any recommendations and enquiries pertaining to legal representation and fee payments related to property investments. Where the consideration/ adjudicated value is in excess of RM7,500,000, fees are negotiable on the excess (but shall not exceed 0.4% of such excess). Stamp Duty & Legal Fees are subject to 5% government tax.
